Purchased the Spider Podium to use with my mobile phone and I have found it to be very useful. I have used to mount my phone in my car to use as a video camera, which works but shakes alot. I have used it as a tripod for photography and it performs well for that. I have also used it to mount my phone to a full sized tripod for photography and it works well for that. I will say that it does not grip the phone so securely as to make it so you would feel comfortable holding it upside down, it would likely not hold the phone well enough to prevent it from dropping. One of the things about that is that the arms are not quite long enough to get a real super tight grip, today's phones being as big a screen as possible plus I have a protective case that increases the phone size a bit. All in all, I feel that it was worth the price, but it is not as perfect as it could be so I give it 4 stars.
