I looked into getting a car dock after looking into getting a dash cam for my vehicle. I stumbled onto an app called daily roads for android which will use you android phones video camera function. I then purchased this OEM dock. After two weeks of use I have determined it works well with my phone (Samsung Continuum) The suction cup is heavy duty and securely holds the phone to the windshield. The included dash pad (Which is the size of your average round table coaster) is handy as well. The battery charger cord also works well when you need to plug in for a charge and has roughly three feet of straight cord. My only complaints about this dock would be that you do have to manipulate the phone to get it to rest onto the micro charging pin. And lastly that it states "multi-angle neck for perfect viewing". The neck when attached to the windshield allows for me to have my phone perfectly vertical for a clear straight line of site out of the windshield for the video function. However when attached to the dash pad it will not allow the phone to go vertical and has a slight tilt upwards towards the ceiling of the car resulting in the video function to be useless, however you can still see the screen of the phone. This is why I gave it 3 stars. If the dock were compatible for both of the applications I needed it for I would give it a 5 star rating.
