Displex Scratch Remover Display Polish

Brand/model: Displex 2000

Cell phone, PDA, iPod and MP3 player display screens scratch easily and thus appear shabby and unsightly. Displex offers a simple solution for this problem. With this type of special polishing paste, you have the possibility of eliminating the scratches in your display screen quickly and cost-effectively in a do-it-yourself process. Suitable for plastic display screens on cell phones, PDAs, iPod, Sony PSP, portable MP3 and media players and other devices with a plastic display screen. Due to the nature of this product, Displex cannot be returned for refund or exchange once opened.

How to use? Apply some Displex to the display. Polish the scratched areas with heavy pressure for 2-3 minutes with a soft, clean cotton cloth. Repeat application as necessary for deep scratches. The display will shine again. Contents of tube of 5g is sufficient for approx. 8-10 applications.

How does it work? It's not magic. The plastic screen is lightly dissolved and polished with fine abrasive particles. The corners of the scratch traces are rounded off and the fissure bottom filled out with the material of the lens itself.

it does work, by Ty

This stuff does work. It takes a bit of time and quite a lot of pressure but it does work. I recently purchased a used Lg EnV3 and it had noticeable cosmetic wear. I used the cleaner on the screen and it looked good as new.
A little bit of patience and elbow grease and you're good to go :)

Money well spent. Great product.

This stuff does work, but when they say you have to push hard they really mean it - I got the best results using a microfibre cloth in a single layer and my thumb, pressing as hard as I could.

Using this stuff I managed to polish out a fairly large scratch (your fingernail would catch on it) on the display of a Nokia N82 cellphone - but it took about 20 minutes. If you can't hear the plastic squeaking, you aren't pressing hard enough.

I have used this product on several Garmin 396 and 496 aviation GPS screens with minor scratches...works well...be prepared however to polish the entire screen to remove the hardened surface. otherwise you create a halo where scratches were if you only polish there.
