Please note: Faceplate installation should be performed carefully. These installations instructions are intended to be a guide instead of a complete set of instructions for installation of Samsung D415, D418 & D410 faceplate.

Begin by removing the battery Remove the little rubber plug that covers a screw hole and remove the Philips screw. |

Remove the 4 Philips screw within the battery compartment |

Separate the back housing from the phone by releasing the tabs that secure the back housing to the phone. Gently pry between the edge between the back housing and the phone and
work your way down both sides of the phone. You may need a Faceplate Removal Pry Tool to assist you in removing the back housing. Also disconnect the vibrator motor connector. This is the red and black wire with clear connector right below the camera lens roller in picture to the left. |

Remove the volume button. |

Carefully open the slide and lift up the main circuit board to access the ribbon cable connector. Lift off the copper mesh one the two sides where it is attached to the green
circuit board (you do not need to totally remove the copper mesh). Detach the ribbon cable from the main circuit board. To do this, gently lift up the thin black color strip with your fingernail from the side closer to the copper mesh - this black strip is a locking door for the ribbon cable. Then slide the ribbon cable out of its slot. Be EXTREMELY careful when detaching the ribbon cable as damage to this part will make the phone un-useable. |

Remove the keypad by gently peeling it off. Remove the 6 Philips screws. |

After you remove the 6 Philips screws, gently lift up the keypad housing to access and remove 2 more Philips screws. Then open the slide and remove round silver color stickers with a pin. Remove the 2 screws that were hidden under the stickers. |

Remove the rounds cover on the side of the phone closer to the camera with a pin. This cover is attached with adhesive to you would need to peel it off. |

Gently pry open the faceplate by releasing the tabs along the edge between the faceplate and the middle housing. You may need a Faceplate Removal Pry Tool. |

Without taking the faceplate away from the phone, detach the ribbon cable connector. This connector is removed the same what as the previously removed connector. To do this, gently lift up the thin black color strip with your fingernail from the side closer to the copper mesh - this black strip is a locking door for the ribbon cable. Then slide the ribbon cable out of its slot. Be EXTREMELY careful when detaching the ribbon cable as damage to this part will make the phone un-useable. |

Lift off the black oval-shaped speaker. Be careful not to damage the wire. Lift off the black color tape that is stuck to the circuit board on both sides of the ribbon connector. DO NOT remove the black tape, just lift it off the circuit board. This is what your phone should look like after you detach the ribbon cable and remove the faceplate with the front circuit board still attached to it. |

Separate the front circuit board from the faceplate. There are little tabs that hold the front circuit board to the faceplate. To remove the camera lens and roller, lift it out of its slot. |

Get your new faceplate and prepare for reinstallation. |

Attach the keypad |

Replace the circuit board. Make sure it is aligned properly and make sure it snaps under the tabs that hold it in place. Reinstall the camera lens and roller making sure the roller is aligned properly as shown. |

Make sure the front circuit board is attached to faceplate properly. |

Take your faceplate and align to the middle housing. |

Reconnect the ribbon cable by sliding it into its slot. Make sure the ribbon cable is align properly and close the black hatch door. Make sure the copper mesh is seating properly. |

Attach the faceplate. Make sure the faceplate aligns with the middle housing properly and that is snaps tightly. |

Secure faceplate to the middle housing making sure all tabs long the edge are snapped in place and there are no gaps. |

Reattach the 4 screws under the slide. |

Reattach the 6 screws. |

Reattach the keypad. |

Take the main circuit board and reconnect the ribbon cable by sliding it into its slot. Make sure the ribbon cable is align properly and close the black hatch door. Make sure the copper mesh is seating properly. |

Make sure the copper mesh is place properly. |

Place the main circuit board in place. Make sure the circuit board is seated properly. Make sure the volume switch is placed properly. |

Reattach the vibrator motor connector |

Replace the volume button making sure it is in the correct direction. |

Reattach the back housing by snapping it in place. When doing this, make sure all parts are seated properly. |
